Santa Monica Concrete was founded in 2023 by a crew that had been doing concrete work on the Westside for years and saw a gap: homeowners in Santa Monica were struggling to find a licensed contractor who actually knew the city, pulled permits through the local Building and Safety Division, and understood what the coastal environment does to concrete over time.
Santa Monica is a unique place to work. The housing stock ranges from Spanish Colonial bungalows built in the 1920s to mid-century condos near Wilshire, and the salt air off the Pacific is a real factor in how surfaces hold up. A lot of the older homes in Ocean Park, Sunset Park, and Mid-City have had the same driveway or patio for decades - some of them have multiple layers of patches on top of the original pour.
We serve homeowners, landlords, and property managers all over Santa Monica and the surrounding cities. Whether the project is a simple driveway replacement or a full slab foundation, our process is the same: get the permit, do the prep work right, and finish the job the way we would finish it on our own property. That has been the standard since day one.
We pull every required permit through the City of Santa Monica's Building and Safety Division before a single tool touches your property. You get a signed inspection record when the job is done.
Every quote we provide breaks out demolition, materials, labor, and permit fees separately. No surprise invoices at the end, no pressure to approve add-ons you did not ask for.
Losing access to your driveway or yard is a real inconvenience. We provide a clear day-by-day timeline before we start so you can plan around the work, not around us.
Santa Monica's coastal salt air, clay-heavy soil, and older housing require a contractor who understands local conditions - not just how to pour concrete. We have been working these neighborhoods since 2023.
The C-8 license is issued by the California Contractors State License Board (CSLB) and is required for any contractor performing concrete construction work in the state. It covers flatwork, foundations, driveways, patios, and structural concrete. You can verify our license status at any time at cslb.ca.gov.
We carry general liability insurance on every project. This protects your property and ours in the unlikely event something goes wrong on the job site. We can provide a certificate of insurance before work begins - just ask.
